Lead Data Architect in POLAND

You will be part of our Client's data and analytics team and are responsible to own the global Market Data Asset and technically guide projects that use it. You partner with business stakeholders, data scientists, analytics leads as well as implementation partners/vendors and are the leading data architect for analytical products in the market analytics area.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Create and implement data management strategy/concepts for the global data assets and analytics solutions which ensures that data processing and end result follow global standards.
• Implementation and run global data assets as technical lead (managing the integration of different data souring of a business domain, e.g. finance into one global data asset based on the requirements of the consuming projects); data science industrialization projects (building cloud native data science applications together with a team of data scientist and cloud developers), and descriptive analytics projects (builiding data heavy dashboards together with a team of data engineers and BI developers)
• Contribute to the enrichment of global data and analytics technology stack according to the needs of the analytics products/core data assets in your area of responsibility
• Lead implementation teams with a strong backend focus
• Be responsible to ensure compliance, setup respective processes for data access, manage legal requirements or data privacy related topics in order to deliver fit-for purpose and scalable analytics products
• Be responsible for managing external service providers/partners, prepare cost and time estimates and ensure the proper handover to the operations.

Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):

• Master degree in computer science, big data, engineering or a comparable subject
• 8+ years' working experience in the field of Data & Analytics, experience in the area of big data an data science as a data- & solution architect and with experience in CPG/FMCG industry is a pro, but not a must
• Practical and theoretical know-how in one or more of the following technologies: Databricks and Snowflake. Additional know-how in Azure Data Factory & Azure Data Lake Gen2, Python, AzureML and cloud native application development would be a plus. Generally, a good understanding of spark-based ETL processing, event-driven data processing, SQL, and cloud computing solutions in the area of data and analytics is needed
• Profound data architecture and data life cycle know-how, software development lifecycle understanding as well as dev/ops know-how and data management skills (data cataloguing, data quality management) is required
• If possible, data knowledge in commercial area and or financial data domain (e.g. P&L, SD data, Cash Flow, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a fast-paced environment
• Problem solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgement
• Interpersonal and communication skills, active listening, consulting, challenging, presentation skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken and willingness to travel.
