We seek a passionate and talented Junior Mobile App Developer to join our tech team. In this role, you will work on our iOS and Android app to help create a space where people can connect genuinely. You will be part of a team that delivers an inclusive and engaging dating experience.
We will be accepting applications until 28/07/2024 after which the first round of interviews will begin.

What we will provide
- 100% remote working (only for people based in the UK or Europe) - we only ask you are willing to work UK hours to be able to collaborate with the team efficiently. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
- Salary dependant on experience and location. You will also be entered into the employee share scheme at 0.5% after passing probation successfully

Your task
- You will join our product team and work closely with our lead developer and CPO to develop, test and maintain our mobile application on both iOS and Android
- You will also work closely with our founder, CMO and COO to understand outcome-based requirements to continue building new features iteratively and scaling existing ones
- You will support our lead developer on the entire development lifecycle
- You will contribute to code reviews and help maintain a high-quality codebase
- You will need to stay up-to-date with the latest mobile app development trends and technologies
- You will take an active part in building up the company culture
Your experience
- You have 1+ years of experience building B2C or B2B mobile apps on iOS or Android
- If you have a portfolio showcasing previous mobile app development work. Please share a link, or attach your portfolio when completing your application
- You have a good understanding of React Native fundamentals and have used them to develop apps
- You have experience using tools such as Mixpanel, Sentry etc
- You have backend experience and a good understanding of Node JS with Express JS
- You have experience with database structures using a NoSQL database such as Firestore/Firebase Realtime database
- You have experience in developing using designs that have been created on Figma or other design software
- You have experience using source management systems such as GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab, etc
- You have experience working with a package management system such as Yarn
- You have experience with the Expo framework and its tools
- Bonus points if you have experience working with APIs and Serverless technologies such as Firebase, AWS Lambda
- Bonus points if you have working experience of AWS technologies such as S3, Elastic Beanstalk, IAM etc

Our interview process
- Round 1: An interview with our CPO to get to know you better (week of 29/07/2024)
- Round 2: A coding task based on a real word example - you can do this in your own time, and we will give you plenty of time to complete it
- Round 3: An interview with our lead developer to review the coding task and your technical skills
- Round 4: A final interview with our founder to get to know you better and give you an intro to our culture at Mattr
