We are expanding our team in the space sector to take on the Human Exploration projects. DLR is transitioning from Columbus Control Center (COL-CC) where we do ISS-Columbus operations towards Human Exploration Control Center (HECC) where we will do Columbus + Gateway and in future Lunar surface operations. As part of this change, we need support to adapttheir current infrastructure/tools to the new infrastructure/tools that are compliant with the new security requirements of these new programs.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will support the transition from COL-CC to HECC by adapting the infrastructure according to the new security requirements. Your main tasks will be:

• Understand and interpret security requirements from NASA and ESA
• Assess the current infrastructure and tools against these security requirements
• Assess all ground tools (VoCS, Video, MCS, access environment, all ground operations tools, archiving systems etc) against the new security requirements
• Operationalize the implementation plan to ensure compliance with the new security requirements
• Operate and evolve the current Security Operation Center (SOC) and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solution
• Support the Security Officer by the design of new secure system architectures
• Work closely with the transition team moving from Columbus Control Center (COL-CC) to Human Exploration Control Center (HECC)
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of the plan
  
  

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Engineer who can understand, realize and operate the security requirements

from NASA and ESA. If you want this position to be yours, you should have:

• Proven experience in cybersecurity, preferably in aerospace or related field
• Proven experience and motivationfor SOC and SIEM
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  
  

Familiarity with NASA and ESA security requirements is a plus. We will also value German language skills.
