Job Summary:
The Accounting Advisor serves as a subject matter expert for fixed asset accounting across the Americas region, providing technical accounting expertise, leadership on process improvements, and strategic support to business partners and senior leadership. This role is responsible for evaluating, documenting, and enhancing fixed asset policies, processes, and internal controls while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company standards. The Advisor acts as a key liaison for internal and external audits and leads cross-functional initiatives to drive standardization, efficiency, and data integrity.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for highly complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely close of the general ledger,
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews.
- Research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal/external reporting.
- Ensure general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that Internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Lead internal and cross functional teams on major initiatives/projects including: process improvement, regulatory compliance/changes and policy recommending innovative solutions.
- Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Fixed Asset Accounting & Technical Expertise
- Serve as the primary accounting expert for fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, impairments, retirements, transfers, and leasehold improvements.
- Evaluate complex transactions and provide accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Review and document fixed asset accounting policies, procedures, and process flows; identify gaps and recommend enhancements as needed.
- Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across the Americas region.

- Lead and support process improvement initiatives focused on standardization, automation, and operational efficiency within fixed asset accounting.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls related to fixed assets in compliance with SOX and company control frameworks.
- Partner with stakeholders to remediate control deficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support system implementations, enhancements, and integrations impacting fixed asset processes.
- Perform advanced financial analysis related to capital expenditures, asset utilization, depreciation trends, and asset lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain analytical reports and dashboards using advanced Excel techniques (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, VBA preferred).
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to support decision-making and capital planning.
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects related to fixed assets, including process transformations, and regional initiatives.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, IT, and business partners to ensure alignment and timely execution of deliverables.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and regional partners, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to Americas Fixed Assets.
- Prepare and review audit schedules, supporting documentation, and technical memos.
- Mentor and guide team members and internal stakeholder, promoting best practices.
- Communicate complex accounting matters clearly to leadership and non-accounting partners.

- Experience supporting multinational or regional accounting operations (Americas preferred)
- Experience with general ledgers, project cost sub-ledgers, fixed asset sub-ledgers and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
- Experience supporting SOX compliance and audit environments
- Exposure to lease accounting (ASC 842)
- Experience with Essbase and Alteryx
- General Experience in Process Improvement
- Automation Skills
- Project Management experience
- CPA Certification
- Leadership experience
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years experience in accounting and/or financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for-profit corporate environment.

Pay: $6,511.62 USD/month - $8,627.89 USD/month
Additional Details: The desired location for this position would be Collierville, TN. This position may be eligible for relocation.
