Zebra People company
Do you want to work for a company who are at the forefront of every successful company’s agenda? Offering 100% remote work and picking up momentum, media attention, and public awareness, our client is looking to tackle the problem of workplace misconduct. They’ve created an app that allows employees to report through to the end user (nominally a member of HR), who is able to view complaints through a SaaS platform. This allows them to use data analytics to pinpoint where the problem is and how they can address it.
With their funding giving them a good runway they’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their UK-based squad, this role will sit in the Platform team that consists of 3 with you being the sole DevOps Engineer and SME. Their stack is completely JavaScript, with Node and Express being used on the backend, and TypeScript, React, and React Native for the front and mobile.
You’ll have lots of ownership in this role and you should know what good looks like, they’re a big fan of autonomy so if you can make a good use case for a certain technology, they’re happy for you to take their DevOps initiatives to new heights!
As it stands they’re predominantly using CircleCI and Docker on AWS. However, they do want someone to drive their infrastructure as code initiative so Terraform experience is essential and a top priority for them! Everything is on simple EC2 servers but they are looking to containerise in the future, so any ECS experience would be a bonus. Where they work with Node on the backend any programming experience here would be great, though not essential.
This role will be working very closely with the Platform Lead and InfoSec lead so you’ll be happy working to SOC2 compliance standards (you don’t have to have done so before though).
As well as the above, they’re keen to meet people who:
This is a great opportunity to join a company that has a clear plan of growth, who also offer a very competitive salary (they’re thinking up to £115K, though happy to consider people who’re exceptional above that) as well as stock options and a very attractive bonus scheme. You’ll also get a healthy learning budget of £1000.
The team all work remote (and you’re given a budget of £800 to kit out your office space) and on a flexible basis, though a few of them do get together twice a week in the office. There’s no pressure to do this though.
