Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000
Salary Band: 29; 30
3+ years of experience: $85,000 – $100,000
5+ years of experience: $100,000 – $115,000
These ranges reflect what BNSF Railway reasonably expects to pay for this position, based on the role’s level, scope, and responsibilities. Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

We are seeking a HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our bnsf | tech division. This role is essential in aligning HR strategies with the needs of our tech teams, which are leading digital transformation across the railroad. The ideal candidate will bring HR expertise and a strong background supporting large-scale technology organizations.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.
Travel is minimal, up to 20%.
Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment.
Key Responsibilities May Include
- Drive high-volume talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top technology talent across software engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Data & AI.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, talent planning, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver integrated solutions in talent acquisition, compensation, learning and development, and employee relations.
- Use data and analytics to identify trends, inform decisions, and proactively address workforce challenges.
- Support change management efforts related to technology modernization, agile transformation, and process innovation.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR experience or related field
- Strong understanding of technology functions including software development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Experience supporting a large technology organization, preferably within a complex, matrixed enterprise
- HRBP role supporting technical or engineering functions.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, high-tech industry, or industrial sectors
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive continuous improvement
