Job Description: Android Engineer
Location: 100% Remote (Anywhere in Canada)
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 base

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated (Intermediate or Senior) Android Engineer with 3+ years of experience building Android apps in Kotlin. This role is essential for developing and enhancing our client's consumer-facing mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Java/Kotlin.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance.
- Focus on making the app more user-friendly as the information architecture is updated.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience building Android apps in Kotlin
- Some experience building B2C Android apps in Java
- Strong understanding of mobile development best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Mix of B2B and B2C app experience
- Experience building developer-facing or B2B SDKs
- Experience working at startups or FinTech companies
- Experience with Swift.
- Familiarity with TypeScript.
- Experience with React Native.
