BACKGROUND
Our UN-agency-client is undergoing an internal recalibration process which includes changes to the organigram, and a review of roles, responsibilities, and processes. These changes will impact corporate IT systems including Sharepoint and must be planned and implemented in an orderly manner to support the organization.
TASKS
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for the following, noting that the first deliverable is due on October 1st in close co-ordination with other technical teams working on non-Sharepoint technologies:
Analyse current SharePoint Online instance used to manage UN-agency-client documents. This analysis includes reviewing existing documentation but also reviewing the setup of all SP site collections, how they map to the existing organigram and security settings.
Identify where changes must be implemented in the divisional sites and other applications in SharePoint online
Implement the technical changes required, to reflect the organizational changes.
Where agreed, migrate data across divisional sites using Sharegate
Align configuration setup with the UN-agency-client M354 team and ensure full compliance with UN-agency-client security requirements
Co-ordinate all changes with the current SharePoint administrators, providing clear timelines and requirements for the migration
Carry out system testing, fixing any issues or bugs discovered
Support the business users during their validation. Manage tickets raised by the business users, addressing agreed technical issues and fixing any bugs identified.
Skills
Mandatory: At least 5 years' experience of working with SharePoint online and at least 8 years total technical experience with SharePoint
Mandatory: Demonstrable experience of custom development in SharePoint online
Experience of configuring SharePoint online, including Security, Privacy and Permission in SharePoint, as well as integrating with Active Directory and synchronizing user profile
Experience of data migrations in Sharepoint online using Sharegate
Experience of developing/modifying workflows in SharePoint
Maintain up to date code repository in GitHub
Ability to document technical projects.
Experience using github as source code manager.
SharePoint Architecture Object Model SharePoint Templates and InfoPath
Knowledge of configuring Security, Privacy and Permission in SharePoint, as well as integrating with Active Directory and synchronizing user profiles.
Experience in multi-lingual indexes and search functionalities in SharePoint
Experience of gathering and documenting user requirements
Qualifications
University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or at least 10 years of professional work experience, of which 5 must be with building, deploying and supporting SharePoint 2013 or newer
Experience of both designing and executing technical solutions from business requirements.
Ability to document technical projects.
Microsoft certifications
Languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
