About The Role

We are looking for an HR Officer with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to take initiative to join our People team.
This role is based at our Perth Corporate office working a Monday to Friday 40-hour week.
Your accountabilities will be:
- Collaborate efficiently with Site and Perth Senior HR Advisors and Principal People Partners to support leaders
- Process employee changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, terminations) throughout the Employee Life Cycle, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained
- Generate employment change letters for employees, both within Workday (HR system) and outside the system
- Prepare employment offers and onboard new hires in Workday
- Maintain organisational and position management in Workday
- Create Workday reports using Excel and distribute them as needed
- Cultivate professional relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, standardized, accurate, and effective services
- Regularly review Workday data to maintain data validity and compliance
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and improvement using a “work smarter, not harder” approach
- Provide support to other HR functions, including recruitment and learning teams
- Manage queries and requests in the centralised People Services inbox
- Arrange relocation assistance for new and existing employees
About You
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong administrative & Microsoft office skills
- Ability to problem solve – using own initiative to find an outcome and seek out information
- Hire to Retire knowledge in Workday or similar HRIS knowledge
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable – ability to work within a consistently changing and fluid environment
- Customer service orientation – outcome driven while maintaining a strong customer focus
- Capacity to prioritise workload
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications in Human Resources, related discipline, or actively undertaking HR studies
- Mining, construction, or resources experience desirable
- An understanding of current employment law legislation and industrial relations
