Join our team as a Senior Product Manager at the Zalando Payments GmbH and take charge of leading a pivotal segment of our deferred payment method portfolio while owning our payments communication products.
Your primary focus will be on managing and enhancing one of our most impactful payment products, with a key emphasis on scaling it across all our European markets. Your responsibilities will encompass localizing and optimizing our payments products to align seamlessly with our customers' needs, along with overseeing payment communication products to ensure clarity and efficiency. With a keen eye on customer satisfaction and retention, you'll drive initiatives to ensure orders are paid on time, enhancing the overall customer experience.
As part of the BNPL team, you'll play a critical role in delivering outstanding try-before-you-buy experiences while guiding customers through their payment journey seamlessly. What We'd Love You To Do (and Love Doing)
- Product Roadmap - Empower your team to craft and sustain a dynamic product roadmap outlining prioritized features, enhancements, and initiatives within the designated product domain. Foster collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant requirements, conduct thorough market research, and articulate precise product specifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration Forge close partnerships with the Zalando Platform and local Market teams to comprehend their needs and requirements concerning our payment method offering. Foster effective collaboration to ensure synchronization, secure buy-in, and facilitate the successful execution of product initiatives. Engage with product managers across various departments within the organization, leveraging influence to align roadmaps for collective success.
- Product Development Independently take the lead in steering the entire product development lifecycle, from inception to execution, encompassing problem definition, opportunity sizing, solution identification, coordination of product design and development efforts, facilitation of user tests, and ensuring seamless product delivery.
- Performance Analysis Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of the transaction processing across all our services alongside your team. Utilize data-driven insights to pinpoint areas ripe for enhancement, prioritize product optimizations, and evaluate the efficacy of implemented strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication Routinely communicate updates, advancements, and outcomes to pivotal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and cross-functional teams. Present discoveries, proposals, and business cases to garner support and secure resources for product initiatives. Oversee relationships with external payment partners, actively participating in negotiations and aligning contracts
WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU...
- Have several years of product management experience, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, ideally in the domain of payments or fintech but not required
- Are a natural problem-solver, with a history of leading product discovery, solving meaningful customer and business problems, delivering scalable solutions and being able to work independently
- Have experience working in complex technology environments
- Have the ability to create a strong product vision and translate that vision for any audience, through well-crafted documents, thorough requirements, and clear communication with stakeholders
- Have an analytical mind, with the expertise to evaluate data, and draw insights to make informed product decisions by defining success criteria and measuring the impact of the product.
- Are interested in Payments industry trends and developments, ideally having some experience in working with payment partners or service providers in Europe.
