JOB SUMMARY
This Companies Product Data Strategy Team seeks applicants for an analytics engineering role. The Analytics Engineer will support the VP of Data Standards, Performance and Methodology to run analytics for Product Strategy, to validate data sources, and to write code and pull data from our data environment. This role requires the ability to develop and support back-end data analyses by our team and our partners in Data Intelligence and Data Science, and the ability for statistical modeling such as regression analysis as well.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position’s responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
- Help drive cross product implementations and unification efforts
- Support the development and communication of Product Strategies through working with data living in Snowflake cloud using SQL language.
- Activities include, but are not limited to, designing analytical approaches, developing new measures, data collection and analysis, dashboarding using Tableau/Excel and development, tracking project activities and tasks, and helping to ensure the overall success of the department
- Work closely with Product Development, Activation, Field Marketing/Research and Sales to ensure successful use of data and products during the launch and adoption phases of all new products
- Help automate some SQL workflows
- Articulates business issues and designs project approaches that deliver actionable organizational data
- Develops and applies practical, innovative ideas and approaches
- Monitors utilization, supports user questions, and creates enhancements to existing reports and capabilities in alignment with business needs
- Identifies potential problems and issues and actively communicates and manages issues to resolution
- Coordinates and performs data quality validation on new and existing data sources, codes, reports
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Strong ability to analyze, interpret and present data
- Strong skills with SQL
- Strong data and presentation tool skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and electronically
- Understanding of statistical processes and regression modeling
- Proven track record for strong problem resolution techniques, ability to find solutions
- Strong business acumen and sense of urgency to achieve business results
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of an organization to aid in decision-making
- Experience in Advertising measurement and performance is a plus
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Experience with Python is a plus
- Experience with Tableau is a plus
- Experience with Alteryx is a plus
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
