Key Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and databases for our applications using Java and related technologies.
Building robust and scalable RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and external integrations.
Designing and optimizing database schemas, writing complex SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity.
Collaborating with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with the backend and ensure a seamless user experience.
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability, and optimizing server response times.
Implementing security best practices to protect data and systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and actively participating in code reviews.
Developing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure the reliability of the software.
Working within an Agile/Scrum development environment, participating in sprint planning, and delivering features on schedule.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and
QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software.
Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
Solid understanding of database design, SQL, and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
Experience developing RESTful APIs and a good understanding of API design principles.
Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is a plus.
A passion for staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
