Project Description
We are looking for a dedicated DevOps engineer to ensure that our development teams' technical queries are resolved in a timeous and satisfactory manner.
For incident management (L2/L3).
To ensure success as a support DevOps engineer, you should exhibit extensive experience in providing IT support to customers/development teams in a fast-paced setting. Outstanding support engineers combine their IT expertise with exceptionally high standards in customer support.
Responsibilities
- Manage the infrastructure systems, and the upgrade of infrastructure systems related to company products.
- Enhance and upgrade the existing infrastructure and products kubernetes code base with Jsonnet, Kustomize, and Helm
- Enhance monitoring of existing solutions with relevant metrics, incl. network and data security in business and operations environments
- Support Development team members with troubleshooting and IT issues
- Support the factories (and clusters) with training, hypercare at go-lives etc.
- Ensure optimal application functionality with code & automation
- Deal with troubleshooting IT/DevOps issues
Mandatory skills description
- Bachelor's or Master 's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience as a DevOps/support engineer supporting heavily complex Kubernetes architectures.
- Experience templating external Kubernetes libraries for internal use including Helm, Kustomize.
- Ability to transform Kubernetes manifests from Helm & Kustomize to plain Yaml, and vice versa.
- Ability to package and maintain platform components like Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, etc.
- Ability to modularise Terraform resource deployments, maintain existing Terraform infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of Linux administration.
- Advanced knowledge of IT software, hardware, and network setup.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud networking - VNETs, Subnets, NAT, DNS, Application Firewalls, Network Firewalls
- Hands-on experience with GitOps, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Stack HCI/Edge Cluster, Hyper-V Cluster, Debian/Ubuntu/RHEL, Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Extensive experience in resolving IT queries.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics (creating videos is good-to-have but not mandatory).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in ArgoCD & understands GitOps practices
- Hands-on experience templating application deployments
