As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the core functionality of our applications and driving the success of our platform. Your expertise will be crucial in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the systems that power our autonomous robot fleets. Working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you'll tackle complex challenges and create innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in robotics.
What you’ll do day-to-day:
- Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend systems designed for deployment on customers' on-premises servers
- Develop and maintain robust APIs, adhering to RESTful principles and best practices
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications and actionable development tasks
- Write clean, secure, and well-documented code
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and mentor junior developers
- Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend developers, robotics engineers, DevOps) to integrate backend systems across the entire technology stack
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our tech stack.
What you’ll bring to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in backend development
- Proven track record in architecting and maintaining large-scale web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a focus on scalable and maintainable code
- Expertise in Node.js, particularly with the NestJS framework
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, and analytical databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse)
- Commitment to writing testable code, with proficiency in unit testing and automated testing frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of web application security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Bonus points for:
- Proficiency in Go, including experience developing scalable backend services and modern CLI applications
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps automation tools
- Hands-on experience with real-time data processing frameworks and streaming technologies.
