WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team you will be responsible for
subsystem engineering, operations and maintenance of the highly reliable Data Services System (DaSS) of theColumbus Control Center (Col-CC). In this position you will
design, implement, coordinate and maintain the working data subsystem to fulfill the requirements as set out by the customer. You will also support additional Col-CC based systems (e.g. Video System, Ops Support Tools) and
develop tools and procedures to ease operations for operators.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the current data subsystem of the Columbus project
- Coordination with Level 3 contractors for system upgrades, troubleshooting and error solution
- Propose system changes and upgrades necessary to keep the data system up to date
- Subsystem Design, Concept and Implementation
- Implementation and maintenance of a DTN test bed
- Mission critical phase support
- Maintenance of system related documentation
- Training of Ground Control Team members
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for
engineers with
interest in Columbus and subsystem engineering. If you want this position to be yours, you should have:
- Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with high availability services
- Familiarity in network technology and Virtualization Skills
- Experience in creating and analyzing algorithm in Java, C/C++ as well as experience in the development in C/C++, Java, Python/Perl, PHP, Maven
- Experience in scripting (bash, gnuplot)
- Knowledge of MySQL and MariaDB databases
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Understanding of hardware and software interfaces
We will also value experience, and knowledge in CCSDS protocols and implementation like DTN, Space Packet and CADU.
