Full-Stack Web Engineer in PHILIPPINES

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications: Create and enhance both the front-end and back-end components of our web applications using Next.js, Nest.js, and Node.js.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with designers, architects, product managers, and other engineers to build and ship new features.
• Implement responsive designs: Ensure our applications are responsive, intuitive, and provide an excellent user experience across all platforms and devices.
• Optimize performance: Continuously monitor and improve application performance, availability, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable code: Follow best practices for design patterns, coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high code quality and reliability.
• Stay current with industry trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development to ensure our solutions are modern and effective.

Requirements

• Proven experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer in web development.
• Technical expertise: Strong proficiency in Next.js, Nest.js, and Node.js.
• Front-end skills: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks/libraries.
• Back-end skills: Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).
• Version control: Proficiency with Git and other version control systems.
• Problem-solving abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud services: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Database(s): Knowledge of MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, or similar.
• Testing frameworks: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or similar.
• CI/CD pipelines: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
• API Design: Knowledge of API documentation & design tools like Swagger, or similar.
• Agile methodologies: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment and DevOps processes.
• It is great if you are familiar with Flutter.
