OTC Flow continues its journey towards becoming the market leader in the environmental commodity sector. We are actively seeking a Data Engineer to join our expanding trading team based in Amsterdam.

About the role
As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to building a data-driven framework that drives business success and ensures resilience in an evolving landscape. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the organization, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and maintain databases on-premise.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline.
- Advise management on enterprise-level software and systems.
- Provide desktop support to end-users on a group level.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in designing, creating, and maintaining databases on-premise.
- Proficiency in SQL, including querying, managing policies, and permissions.
- Good scripting skills in Python.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with systems monitoring software (e.g., PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana).
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Apache Airflow.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of clustering and high-availability systems.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and Cassandra.
- Basic knowledge and experience with packet capturing software (Wireshark).
- Basic knowledge of networking.
