Plan A Technologies is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Casino Game Developer with proven experience in building and integrating real-money casino game clients with third-party Remote Game Servers (RGS). Join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity and play a pivotal role in driving the development and integration of games and gaming solutions for our land-based and real-money iGaming partners.
In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in delivering casino gaming solutions across various GDKs, tech stacks, and languages. Your deep expertise in Unity allows you to understand both the opportunities and limitations of this application in delivering gaming solutions. You are comfortable working with diverse team members and leading both front-end and back-end developers to ensure world-class solutions. You have a thorough understanding of gaming development pipelines, team roles, and dependencies related to art, animation, compliance, and testing. You have experience delivering successful games into regulated markets and are familiar with the regulatory frameworks that impact development decisions. You are adept at identifying and resolving issues in this area.
As a Senior Casino Game Developer, you will work with our valued clients and partners, who have varying levels of technical maturity. You possess the ability to understand and parse both technical information and requirements, along with understanding business drivers to deliver quality solutions aligned with our clients' visions and needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Guide the development team towards the successful execution of gaming projects, focusing on the integration of casino slot games into partner RGSs. Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Your leadership style is inclusive and cross-functional, inspiring alignment between functions, individuals, clients, and partners.
- Provide Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in developing slot games and casino-based wagering solutions with a deep understanding of class 2 and class 3 math concepts, implementation, and testing. Act as the main point of contact for game software development and RGS integration, working with both land-based and iGaming partners. Leverage your experience to develop and integrate games for online real-money gaming platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and jurisdictional regulations.
- Work on Diverse Projects: Work with and guide the team in all critical aspects of both front-end and back-end development. Your advanced understanding of the casino technology landscape will enable you to design and implement robust solutions for a portfolio of diverse gaming projects and architect solutions that address challenging RGS integrations. You will work on a variety of game projects including porting existing games to new markets and technologies, cloning games, and implementing best-in-class frameworks to support new game development opportunities. Balance your hands-on approach while overseeing one or more teams of highly skilled game programmers; co-creating new slots and other casino games, mentoring and motivating team members, and generally being an all-around casino game guru for the team.
- RGS Integration: Drive the integration of game clients into multiple RGS systems, leveraging your expertise in the international online gaming space to optimize performance and user experience.
- Technology Champion: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools relevant to real-money game development and RGS integration. Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the team.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, and provide solutions that effectively meet their needs.
- Project Management: Contribute to discovery processes and task estimation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality gaming products from concept to delivery and ongoing support.Customer Focus: Maintain a customer-centric approach, prioritizing user experience and satisfaction throughout the development lifecycle.
Experience
- 10+ Years proven experience in developing a significant volume of real-money casino games for land-based and/or online gaming channels, with a focus on slot games.
- Expert understanding of the 'real-money gaming’ technology ecosystems in use.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on game development, with a focus on implementing best practices.
- Proficiency in various programming languages and tools relevant to game development and RGS integrations.
- Experience working with different GDKs.
- Expert understanding of Unity and its utilization in the real-money casino gaming space.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Proven capability to work effectively in a fully remote environment, collaborating with colleagues and team members from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Very good command of English.
