Manage day to day Payroll administration for USA and Canadian market.

Back up for Mexico and Brazilian payrolls. Responsible for processing payroll for exempt, non-exempt and temporary employees on a semi-monthly basis. Maintain the performance of all payroll related accounting journal entries and reconciliations, and compliance with all payroll related policies and procedures. Responsible for identifying and implementing areas of improvement in the payroll area, leading initiatives for systems and productivity improvements, strategic alliances with Human Resources, Accounting, LOBs, and other functional areas impacted. Responsible for compliance with payroll tax and other related regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare the semi-monthly payroll for all US and Canadian companies using ADP Workforce Now: managing the process all bonus requests, overtime, relocation packages, expenses, loans and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and savings deductions
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provide timely reports to accounting department.
  • Assist with reconciling payroll sub-ledger to the general ledger
  • Prepare remitting payroll taxes and government reporting.
  • Assist with the review of year-end W2 and T4 filing process.
  • Monitor and audit as needed the employee records in the HRIS systems such as pay increases, transfers, promotions, terminations within WFN.
  • Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll statements.
  • Work with Benefits & Payroll Manager with SOX requirements
  • Maintain compliance with current federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Skills

Must have

  • US and Canada Payroll experience is a must
