Job Description

We are seeking a Public Relations Manager to manage an organisation’s communication initiatives with media personnel. The key duties include overseeing public relations agencies/social media communication agencies and high-level Influencer agencies to ensure the right messaging is communicated across all the channels, writing or editing press releases prior to publication, and helping us organise events such as press conferences, networking groups, focus groups that involve their industry and the local community.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Delivery of high level communication pieces in line with the Ministry objectives and Tahaluf’s business objectives set by Marketing/Group Director.
  • Networking with big media outlets and nurture a strong industry network
  • Develop an enviable corporate image for the events by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics with the agency
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Identify and engage high level stakeholders who could be potential influencers
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Have the ability to manage communications across all the channels during any crisis and up to the industry standards

Qualifications

Requirements And Skills

  • 4-5 years of working experience in public relations required
  • This role is only open for a KSA National
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local, regional and international level
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets, mainly within Saudi and the Middle East
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Event planning experience
  • BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline would be preferred but not mandatory
