About the role

Due to our exciting agency growth, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Conversion UX Designer to help us design exceptional experiments and features for our campaigns, thus improving the overall user experience and conversion impact, across multiple clients.

Working closely with the Digital Optimisation Specialist and optimisation team, you’ll be responsible for identifying and reviewing customer pain points, designing to improve user joy, and proposing impactful test ideas.


This is a role with full ownership, we want you to come in and guide us in the design of our experiment ideas. You'll be part of a courageous, positive and collaborative team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the exciting world of data-driven digital optimisation & experimentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the goals and needs of our ecommerce clients' users, and the methodologies to best discover them.
  • Balance user, business, and technology needs to deliver the right outcomes.
  • Perform heuristic analysis of client websites to identify user pain points or gaps
  • Design wireframes of experiment ideas for client web and mobile sites that bring our hypothesis to life in a simple, yet effective, way
  • Design both low fidelity and high fidelity mockups
  • Regularly conduct UX reviews and UX workshops of our client's websites to ensure their site is always anticipating changing user needs.
  • Remain our clients' brand custodian and ensure all optimisations are designed on-brand
  • Undertake a thorough, meticulous quality assurance process of your designs prior to client presentation
  • Communicate with our web developers to ensure design vision is maintained in the development stage
  • Conduct continuous learning and ultimately champion UX thought leadership within the team

The ideal candidate:

  • At least 2+ years experience in a similar user experience (UX) design role at an agency or consultancy
  • Previously exposed to multi-faceted ecommerce projects that include digital insights, analytics, UX mockups, development (AB testing a bonus)
  • Skilled at communicating the why behind design choices, and guiding stakeholders
  • Able to craft considered and scalable user interface designs
  • Have extensive experience running and facilitating UX workshops
  • Able to meet fixed deadlines and is flexible with working hours (due to client timezones)
  • Experienced with modern project management tools like Trello or Asana
  • Experienced with design software like Figma, Invision, InDesign, or Photoshop
  • Bonus: Experienced with any or all website backends - Shopify, Magento, Bigocmmerce, Woocommerce, etc
  • Bonus: Exposure to Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc), and exposure to AB testing tools (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize, etc).
