HR Manager
- Remote
- Full-time
- £40,000 - £45,000
People are at the heart of who we are — and we’re rapidly expanding.
After an exciting 12 months of rapid expansion (increase from 30-100 staff), RTN Mental Health Solutions is strengthening its People team. We are looking for a hands-on, proactive, and values-led HR Manager (managing HR operations rather than a team) to join our small but mighty team of two, helping us shape the next phase of our journey.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a very fast-paced, evolving environment where you are instrumental to the success of the department, and where you can genuinely influence how things are built. You’ll work closely with our Head of People, taking ownership of day-to-day HR operations while helping to develop best-practice processes, policies and frameworks from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
HR Operations & Support
- Own, optimise and continuously improve onboarding, offboarding and lifecycle processes
- Own HR compliance across the business (right to work, DBS if healthcare, mandatory training tracking, contracts)
- Prepare regular HR metrics and reports as required (absence, turnover, headcount)
- Prepare monthly payroll by collating and verifying changes. Deal with payroll queries
Employee Relations
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries
- Provide guidance on day-to-day ER matters (sickness, performance, conduct, flexible working requests)
- Lead and manage formal ER processes including investigations, disciplinary and grievance cases (with escalation to Head of People for high-risk or complex cases)
People Policies, Process & Compliance
- Review, update, and draft HR policies and procedures in line with RTN culture and tone
- Re-write our People Handbook and ensure documents reflect current legislation and best practice
- Support the design and rollout of new frameworks, templates and processes

- Contribute to an inclusive, positive and values-led culture
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a stand alone HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor / Business Partner
- Previous experience working in a start up business that has quickly scaled
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law
- Confident supporting ER cases and writing formal documentation
- Experience using HRIS (ideally helped map out processes and build workflows)
- Comfortable with recruitment processes
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
- Previous experience within Healthcare is advantageous
