Python Developer (Machine Learning) in PORTUGAL

We are seeking to hire Python Developer (Machine Learning) (f/m/d) who has an ambition to understand, question, & shape our ML-based services and will work closely together with our data scientist. You will help us to improve the design of AI systems (classical ML & LLMs) and to draft and build new solutions. To thrive in our fast-paced environment you will contribute to our efforts in Data Science and Machine Learning Engineering, able to work across teams to help everyone work together effectively.

Your responsibilities

• Enhance the design and development of AI systems, including classical ML models and LLMs.
• Apply knowledge of ML engineering, LLM solutions, and model management tools like MLflow for effective model orchestration and updating.
• Implement backend solutions and develop APIs using production-level Python and frameworks like FastAPI.
• Design and manage databases to support ML applications
• Work closely with data scientists and other teams to shape and implement ML-based services.

Your profile

• 3+ years of experience in Backend, DevOps, APIs, Databases, Docker
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proficiency in production-level Python, including familiarity with Python web frameworks, particularly FastAPI
• Knowledge of ML-engineering & LLM solutions
• Experience with LLM-related packages, such as PyTorch, Transformers etc.
• Knowledge of building and using model management tools (e.g. mlflow) with MLOps (model orchestration, updating, etc.) will be a plus
• Agile mindset and a solution-driven approach to problem-solving
• Fluent in written and spoken English
