Job Description

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Lead (m/f/x) to join the KONUX Engineering department. You'll be responsible for leading and growing a high-performing team focused on predictive AI for our Signalling domain, ensuring its technical vision aligns with our Point Machine product strategy and drives innovative solutions. The role allows you to show your leadership skills but also allows space for individual contributions to the domain codebase.

Your Impact

Technical Delivery:

• Partner with our Principals, Guilds, and the Chief Architect to define and champion the technical vision for your domain
• Work on Front End tasks
• Own the domain's technical design and architecture, collaborating with key stakeholders for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Product Managers on delivering the product roadmap, translating product vision into actionable plans for your team
• Craft and maintain the domain's technical roadmap, outlining the strategic direction for future development
• Foster a culture of high performance, implementing efficient teamwork practices
• Contribute directly to technical delivery, demonstrating your expertise and leading by example on software engineering and data science tasks

Financial Management:

• Work with our Finance department to build and maintain the annual Domain Budget, managing both staff and operational expenses
• Implement strategies to optimize domain cloud costs across pre-production and production environments
• Oversee domain-specific tooling costs, including software packages and hardware

Team Leadership:

• Keep the team informed through regular company and leadership updates
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to provide coaching and address concerns
• Prioritise team health, building a strong and collaborative team environment

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have

• Computer Science or other STEM background, with a minimum 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, ideally with experience in: Python, Java, React
• Proficiency in working on Front End tasks
• Cloud services (e.g. AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Databricks, EventBridge)
• Experience in building scalable architectures (IoT device and data management are a bonus)
• Exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning are advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical vision into actionable plans and deliver results
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience fostering a positive and healthy team environment
