System Software Engineer (Networking) - Device Drivers / C/C++ / Networking Protocols / TCP/IP / UDP / VPN / Distributed Systems


  • Do you have 5+ years experience in developing Linux network device drivers?
  • Solid experience in C/C++?
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.), VPN technologies, TLS and Linux kernel internals?
  • Do you want to join a scale-up in the wonderful city of Amsterdam?

We're working with a genuinely exciting, security focused semiconductor company and they need a number System Software Engineers for Networking to join the team onsite in Amsterdam on a permanent basis.

Please note- this is a 100% onsite role with no flexibility with remote or hybrid work.


What we look for in return is:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing Linux network device drivers
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.), VPN technologies, TLS and Linux kernel internals.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Experience with kernel-mode programming and operating system internals.
  • Proven ability to debug and resolve complex driver issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Any of the following will be considered a plus:

  • Rust experience is a plus
  • Experience and understanding of SDN technologies would be hugely beneficial
