Freeman+Leonard is looking for a Senior Interactive Designer for our advertising agency client.
This is a HYBRID role in Dallas (relocation will be considered)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Experience Designer to lead the design of thoughtful, user-centered experiences across digital and connected environments. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution and requires deep expertise in interaction design, UX, and interface systems.
You will help translate business goals, user needs, and emerging technologies into intuitive, engaging experiences across a range of touchpoints. This position partners closely with creative leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive solutions from early concept through launch.
The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating complex design challenges, shaping scalable systems, and working within fast-evolving project landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, engaging experiences across digital platforms, physical environments, and emerging technology touchpoints
- Translate insights and strategy into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface systems
- Define interaction models that support connected experiences such as intelligent assistants, voice interfaces, kiosks, and other interactive surfaces
- Partner with creative leadership to bring high-level vision to life through clear frameworks and execution
- Establish scalable design patterns that promote consistency across platforms
- Uphold strong standards for usability, accessibility, and visual clarity
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including technology, strategy, production, and business stakeholders
- Ensure solutions are feasible within technical constraints while maintaining design integrity
- Present work with clarity, articulating design rationale and decision-making
- Contribute to the evolution of design systems, UX patterns, and team best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to designers when appropriate
- Balance conceptual exploration with practical execution across multiple initiatives

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Media, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in agency, product, or in-house environments with a strong focus on UX/UI
- Portfolio demonstrating interaction design, systems thinking, and shipped experiences
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation tools
- Experience designing responsive and scalable digital ecosystems
- Strong understanding of usability principles and interaction patterns
- Comfortable collaborating with developers and working within technical parameters
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI-supported design workflows
- Motion design, spatial computing, or advanced prototyping experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require
