BI Developer – Join the European Subsidiary of a Global Insurance Leader
We are looking for a highly skilled BI Developer on behalf of our client, the European subsidiary of a leading global insurance group. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact Business Intelligence and reporting projects in an international, fully remote environment, with a strong focus on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Analytics, and Snowflake.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business and executive stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear KPI reporting and analytical solutions.
- Build and optimize semantic models and data models (star schema, dimensional modeling) within Microsoft Fabric.
- Create advanced calculations using DAX.
- Ensure high report performance, usability, and proper refresh strategies.
- Work with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake to deliver trusted reporting datasets.
- Connect and integrate multiple data sources across Azure, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure consistent and reliable BI delivery.
- Apply data governance, security, and access control within the Microsoft BI ecosystem.

🔹 Candidate Profile
🎓 Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
📊 Strong experience as a BI Developer with Power BI in enterprise environments.
💻 Excellent skills in:
- Power BI (Dashboards, Reports, Data Modeling)
- DAX (Measures, KPIs, Advanced Calculations)
- ☁️ Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, Direct Lake)
- Azure Data Platform (Synapse, Data Lake, SQL services)
- Snowflake (Cloud Data Warehouse, Reporting Layers, Analytics Integration)
- 🗄 Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and reporting datasets.
- 🔐 Knowledge of BI governance, row-level security (RLS), and best practices.
- 🌍 Fluent in spoken and written English.
