Leading the Way to Automate Network Management
Currently, several projects are underway from client organizations that want to use network automation to improve and optimize network management. This will enhance their service delivery and allow more attention to be given to security.
An Important Task for a Mature Engineer
As an automation expert, you will join the team. You will discuss expectations with the team lead and then start working independently. You will participate in team meetings and regularly report back to the team lead.
You will work fully remotely by UK timezone. Occasionally, you might be asked to travel to the UK for critical meetings. One important requirement is that you live in a GDPR territory.
Your Profile
Experience with the Juniper Paragon suite is mandatory. Additionally, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Knowledge of Juniper Paragon Suite, Kafka, Netbox, and experience with Prometheus and Elasticsearch for monitoring and data analytics.
- Experience with network automation tools such as Itential IAG and IAP, and familiarity with API design using platforms like Kong API.
- Proficiency in handling network configuration changes for various router types and service reflectors.
- Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.
- Strong understanding of GNMI protocols and network inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, APIs, and data streaming services, integrating Prometheus for monitoring and Elasticsearch for detailed logging and analytics.
- Handle device configurations and modifications, such as PE routers, P routers, BGP-LS routers, and Internet Route Reflectors.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards using data from Prometheus and Elasticsearch to track and optimize network operations.
- Work on the MACD activation framework and manage the lifecycle of code changes and regressions within the NaaS environments.
Remuneration
A serious job requires a serious reward. We offer a B2B contract based on a fixed monthly amount or an hourly rate. The project is for at least 6 months, but we expect it to be extended for a much longer period.
