We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our GigExecs team as CTO. We are an early-stage startup (www.gigexecs.com) , incorporated in the US, and we just launched our Beta version in May 2024. We have started onboarding our user community and are excited about the journey ahead.

The CTO will lead the technical development of our platform and, together with the co-founders, drive our digital marketplace to become a leading player in our field. We believe the future of work is flexible, empowering, and ageless, and GigExecs will play a key role in this vision.
Your Responsibilities
- As a key technical member of the team, you will be one of the driving forces behind platform development and enhancement. You will manage the technical delivery and release of new versions and play a key role in scaling the platform globally.
- Define technical requirements and systems architecture, determining the right balance between scale and speed of delivery for early product iterations.
- Collaborate on and drive the technical roadmap, including tech-driven initiatives that will make the development process easier and more enjoyable.
- Set up new operational processes that allow us to iterate on and build features faster and more confidently.
- Communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders/team members.
- Determine the best time to scale the engineering team to meet ambitious product goals and identify the key positions needed to create an A+ team. This includes involvement in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes for all technical positions when appropriate.
- Lead our core engineering team and collaborate with product and technical leadership.
Experience We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience as a software lead/full stack developer, building scalable software solutions in tech businesses.
- Experience with developing in "Sharetribe Flex" is ideal, with an understanding of applicable programming languages such as Ruby, JavaScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and Web APIs in general.
- Working knowledge of developing tech infrastructure built for speed and scalability.
- Confidence in leading code reviews, product planning and execution, and technical implementation and architecture discussions.
- Experience supporting the effective development of other engineers through coaching, mentoring, or collaboration.
