We are Data Cooking Co, an Australian-based data automation and analytics company.
We help businesses turn messy data into clear insights using automation, dashboards, and smart reporting.
We are looking for a Power BI Developer / Power BI Virtual Assistant who is honest, easy to talk to, can follow instructions, and works well independently.
This role starts part-time with the possibility of full-time based on performance.
Working Arrangement
- Fully remote
- Working hours: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM (Philippine time)
- Independent contractor (not an employee)
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role
- Required knowledge and experience in Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Python, R or Power BI
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Coding experience with M Language, SQL, and/or BigQuery is a plus
- Familiarity with SQL and database management
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Strong background in KPI dashboards development and automation
- Strong visualization experience charts, bars, images, dynamic reports, etc.
- Experience with data visualization and report design principles
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and visualizations
- Some exposure to Procurement, Planning, and Product Lifecycle Management functions
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build dynamic and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions
- Create data models, perform data analysis, and generate insights to support business objectives
- Write and optimize complex queries using DAX, M, and Power Query to ensure data accuracy and performance

- Work with MS Fabric and Azure cloud databases to extract and integrate data for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights that support business decisions
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into the BI environment
- Implement best practices for data engineering, including coding standards and testing
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and tools
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and reports
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, tools, and best practices to continuously improve reporting and data visualization capabilities
