We are a fast scaling management and technology consulting firm and hold multiple contract vehicles for state and federal technology programs. We specialize executive advisory, program management, digital transformation, Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence (AI/ML), cloud solutions, data analytics, cybersecurity, and mission-critical IT services for both public and private sectors clients. On an urgent basis, we are seeking a a talented and hands on DB2 z/OS Database Administrator who would join our team on a high profile government/public agency.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned resource with expert level skills in DB2 z/OS Database Administrator The ideal candidate will have 7 plus years of hands on DB2 z/OS Database Administrator expert level skills.
In the selection process, a strong emphasis will be placed on candidate's strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to work with cross functional teams ((internal and external to the project).
Qualifications:
Seven (7) years of FTE experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming. At least four (4) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.

- Possess a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience with DB2 on z/OS technology performing DB2 database administration and DB2 systems programming.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience with DB2 administration using IBM’s DB2 Administration Tools (e.g., High-Performance Unload, Query Monitor, Cloning Tool, Automation Tool, and Recovery Expert), JCL, z/OS & DB2 utilities, ESP and DB2 resource monitoring in a DB2 z/OS environment.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience with DB2 DDF workloads, supporting DB2 connect configuration, installation, and problem determination.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience with applications using both DB2 z/OS static and dynamic SQL, and programming of COBOL DB2 programs.
- Five (5) years of FTE experience with DB2 z/OS database backup/recovery, performance tuning, configuration, and design.
- Experience with the usage of DB2 IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator (IDAA).
- Experience using Event Scheduling Process (ESP).
- Experience with QMF for z/OS and QMF for Workstation.
- Experience with DB2 Monitors Omegamon Performance Expert for DB2, IBM z/OS Debugger and BMC Log Master.
- Experience with IBM DB2 Utilities such as DSNUTILB, IKJEFT01 (Batch Terminal Monitor program), DSNTIUAL, DSNTEP2, DSNTEP4, DSNTIAD, DSN1COMP.
- Bachelor's in Engineering or related technology field is required.
- Master's degree is desired
