Job Description
OUS Group is seeking a hands-on Senior IT Infrastructure Executive to support and maintain IT infrastructure across our head office and mining sites. This role is responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and reliable IT systems that support daily business and site operations, with a strong focus on infrastructure availability, user support, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Office & Site IT Support
- Provide end-to-end IT infrastructure and technical support for both office and mining site users.
- Support desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and site-based IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, email, and system issues at office and site locations.
- Perform on-site IT support at mining sites when required, including system setup and troubleshooting.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, firewalls, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Ensure system uptime, data availability, and reliable connectivity between office and site environments.
- Perform system monitoring, backups, patching, and recovery procedures.
- Support basic cybersecurity controls, including access management, endpoint protection, and data security practices.
Vendor & Asset Management
- Coordinate with external vendors, telcos, and service providers for hardware, software, connectivity, and IT services.
- Manage IT asset inventory, licensing, renewals, and documentation.
- Support procurement, setup, and deployment of IT equipment for new users, offices, or sites.
Governance, SOP & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and improve IT SOPs, documentation, and user guidelines for office and site environments.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, data security requirements, and acceptable use standards.
- Identify system weaknesses and recommend infrastructure improvements and risk mitigation measures.
- Support IT-related projects such as system upgrades, office relocation, or site expansion.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or technical support roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows environments, server administration, and office/site networks.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Familiar with Microsoft 365, email systems, backup solutions, and endpoint security.
- Experience supporting remote sites, industrial, or mining environments is a strong advantage.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and respond effectively to site-related IT issues.
- Willingness to travel to mining sites when required.
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
