On a typical day, you will …
- Provide client support through email, phone calls, and Zoom meetings, assisting with payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
- Conduct onboarding for new clients, guiding them through the use of Gusto payroll software and addressing their questions.
- Collaborate on projects involving the implementation of new online communication tools to help clients navigate and understand these technologies.
- Offer support with payroll tasks, including data entry and reporting, while maintaining a people-oriented and friendly approach, creating a positive client experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients across Colorado and the USA with their payroll needs.
- Answer questions about payroll, taxes, and HR-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with tax and wage laws.
- Provide help on various payroll topics, like employee classifications, benefits, and using payroll software.
- Accurately process payroll for clients who request our assistance.
- Set up new clients in our payroll system, handling complex setups and calculations.
- Correct errors from previous payroll services by amending payroll tax returns.
- Review and process client data for payroll purposes.
- Create custom reports to assist clients with their payroll needs.
- Develop strong relationships with client HR and accounting teams.
- Collaborate effectively with your team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Excellent english communication skills and a customer-oriented approach to provide exceptional service to clients.
- Between 3-5 years of payroll and/or accounting experience with a good understanding and knowledge of basic principles.
- Experience working with small to medium-sized businesses.
- Knowledge of payroll software, such as Gusto, is highly desirable.
- A self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills, consistently focused on detail and precision.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with team members, as well as building strong partnerships with client counterparts in HR and Accounting.
