About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness, security, and performance of our full-stack, data-driven, and AI-enabled systems. You will design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently. Your work will directly impact the reliability and security of mission-critical systems used in national security operations. You will have the autonomy to own significant aspects of testing processes while working alongside a diverse team of engineers, data experts, veterans, and mission practitioners.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional QA/testing experience in complex or data‑driven systems
• Experience writing automated tests using tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, PyTest, JUnit, Postman/Newman, or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with at least one CI/CD system (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with distributed systems, data-heavy applications, ETL workflows, or AI/ML product testing
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java) for scripting and utilities
• Strong analytical, debugging, and defect triage skills
• Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and mission teams
• Ability to document defects, collaborate with development teams, and verify bug fixes efficiently
• Experience with security testing or SSDLC practices (preferred but not required)
• Experience testing microservices, event-driven systems, or data fusion pipelines (preferred but not required)
• Active security clearance such as Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI (preferred but not mandatory; sponsorship available)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design and execute detailed manual and automated test plans for full-stack, data, and AI-enabled systems
• Build and maintain modular automated test suites, ensuring high test coverage
• Contribute to CI/CD testing stages by adding automated steps and maintaining test jobs
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and basic security testing
• Validate large datasets and data transformation accuracy across data fusion and ETL pipelines
• Participate in code reviews to identify risk areas and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features
• Document defects, collaborate with development teams, and verify bug fixes efficiently
• Create and update tests as part of sprint development cycles and code reviews
• Provide feedback to improve testability, quality, and user experience
• Contribute to quality metrics dashboards tracking defects, coverage, and testing cycle duration
• Ensure QA practices align with security, compliance, and mission-readiness standards
