Currently, for the new Seargin project, we are looking for a Data Engineer with Snowflake!
As a Data Engineer specializing in Snowflake, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture, assembling complex data sets, and implementing process improvements to enhance data delivery and scalability. You will be crucial in building and managing the infrastructure required for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources, leveraging SQL and AWS technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and infrastructure re-design for scalability.
- Develop infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading from a variety of sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines with a focus on GitLab and DataOps.
- Model data transformations using dbt, incorporating scripting and complex algorithms.
- Utilize advanced SQL features, scripting, and query performance analysis in Snowflake to automate and simplify processes (using JavaScript, Bash, Docker, Python, GitLab, JIRA).
- Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to address technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
- Ensure data separation and security across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist teams to optimize product performance and innovation.
- Work with data and analytics experts to enhance functionality in our data systems.
- (Preferred) Design graph algorithms considering computational complexity and data modeling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Snowflake.
- Strong experience with SQL and AWS big data technologies.
- Proficient in developing CI/CD pipelines, especially using GitLab and DataOps.
- Expertise in modeling data transformations using dbt and scripting complex algorithms.
- Advanced knowledge of Snowflake, including SQL features, scripting, and query performance analysis.
- Experience with automation tools and languages (JavaScript, Bash, Docker, Python).
- Familiarity with version control systems (GitLab) and project management tools (JIRA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of data security practices and infrastructure management across multiple data centers and AWS regions.
- (Preferred) Practical experience in designing graph algorithms and data modeling.
