The Role
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Manage our mobile dev team, 5+ developers
Manage in Java/Kotlin.
Manage the full technical life-cycle of Android applications during the development phase.
Collaborate with team members and provide technical insight as needed.
Perform individual project components within the entire development life cycle, including implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Other duties assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.
Ideal Profile
Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin
5 years of Experience working with native Android Development and with different Android OS variations (4.4 and up).
Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to connect Android applications to back-end services
Understanding of different security aspects (encryption, API protection, SSH, etc.)
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers, etc.
Familiarity with continuous integration
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools. Understanding of Git branching models such as Git Flow and comfortable doing code reviews.
Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and appetite to learn.
Able to work and deliver under pressure and within deadlines.
