System Engineer in IRELAND

Senior Systems Engineer – 12 month contract – Remote – Daily rate €480

My client is revolutionizing the payments technology space, enabling safe, simple, smart, and accessible transactions that connect and power an inclusive, digital economy.

We are currently seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the software networking team. In this role, you will own and deliver the operational support necessary to elevate the network to the next level.

This team is highly automation-focused, championing configuration modelling and defining standards via automation to ensure the tooling can handle the heavy lifting. You will be part of a high-performing team that designs, builds, and operates world-class, cutting-edge networking technology on many exciting platforms.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Create and participate in peer code reviews through pull requests
• Continuously evaluate and improve software modules
• Provide support for what the team builds, whether by machine or by hand
• Collaborate with partners and external vendors to address all needs
• Work across internal IT teams to resolve complex issues
• File and follow up on bugs and feature enhancements needed for the industrialization of offerings
• Document every solution to build an internal Knowledge Base, usable globally

The ideal candidate:

• Is a highly motivated individual, familiar with supporting complex systems, and experienced in scripting or programming
• Has Linux Command Line Interface experience
• Has hands-on experience with CI/CD topics and development methodologies including pipelines, pull requests, Git, command line, etc.
• Has a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Can produce quality technical documentation and demonstrates good communication skills

This opportunity is a 12-month daily rate contract, Remote in Ireland, paying up to €480 per day.
