What you’ll do
Manage and maintain SQL Server databases.
Design, develop, and implement stored procedures and functions.
Optimise database performance through indexing and performance tuning.
Ensure data integrity and implement security measures.
Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
Collaborate with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
Generate reports and provide data analysis using Power BI.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
Document database changes and provide training to team members as needed.
What you need
Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.
Expertise in creating and managing stored procedures.
In-depth knowledge of indexing and performance tuning.
Experience with database backup, recovery, and security practices.
Hands-on experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualisation.
Proficiency in SQL development and scripting tools, with a strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server Stack (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS & SSRS).
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Azure SQL Database or other cloud-based database services.
Experience with database replication and clustering.
Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualisation software.
