Job Description – Project Engineer (Site-Based Role)

Work Location: PAN India

Experience: Minimum 3 years

Qualification: B. Tech / B.E in Chemical (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering (less preferred)

About the Role

UHP Technologies executes core engineering projects at customer locations across India, typically ranging from 4 to 12 months. As a Project Engineer, you will be the on-site lead, responsible for end-to-end project execution and coordination. This is a mobile, site-based role requiring relocation from one customer site to another as projects progress.

You will work closely with your Head- Projects to prepare and execute detailed project plans, manage resources, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination
• Prepare and coordinate project schedules, resource plans, equipment needs, and material requirements with Project Engineers/Project In-charges.
• Organize, attend, and participate in internal stakeholder meetings; document and follow up on key actions and decisions.
• Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the assigned project, ensuring clear, timely, and assertive communication with the Head – Projects and Management.
• Define project scope and independently prepare the Master Task Sheet (MTS) based on available resources and timelines.
• Execution & Monitoring
• Estimate project timelines, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines; proactively resolve issues to avoid unsafe practices, delays, or quality deviations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC standards, performance specifications, and documentation requirements.
• Interact with customers as needed to address technical or commercial queries related to the assigned project.
• Oversee quality control for budgets, schedules, project plans, and overall performance; provide regular updates to the Head – Projects.
• Procurement & Material Management
• Manage site-level procurement requirements in coordination with the central Procurement team.
• Prepare and share standard formats for man-hour analysis, skill deployment, project execution plans, and expense tracking.
• Monitor material receipt, coordinate GRN processes, and track vendor payments.
• Ensure timely delivery of material along with documentation (DC, invoices) and follow up with customers for payment receipt.

Requirements & Skills

• Technical & Functional Skills
• Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and detailed action plans
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management tools
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Familiarity with risk management, QA/QC processes, statutory compliance, and industry best practices

• Proven experience in Project Implementation / Site Engineering roles
• B.Tech /B. E in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in managing engineering projects, site coordination, and customer interactions
