About the Project:

For the development of a next generation ECU in premium vehicles, we are looking for experienced DevOps/Continuous Integration Engineer for embedded C++ software (m/f/d). Join our team of enthusiastic and experienced engineers to ensure software delivery for an entire main ECU used in future vehicles of a renowned German automotive manufacturer.

Our team:

Support an international team of embedded C++ developers, software architects and ECU specialists based in several locations in Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Proven experience working as a DevOps or Platform Engineer, preferably within an application solutions team or software development environment.

• Extensive understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with industry-standard DevOps tools and technologies, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

• Hands-on experience with integrating tools into platform ecosystems.

• Proficiency in command-Line interface, such as PowerShell, Azure CLI and Bash.

• Building and scaling infrastructure services using Microsoft Azure or AWS

• Understand the use of using core cloud application infrastructure services including identity platforms, networking, storage, databases, containers, and serverless.

• Skillful in troubleshooting large-scale distributed ecosystems systems.

• Familiarity with automation techniques and technologies such as terraform.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to work in an Agile team.

• Solid Windows and Open Source (Linux) Systems administration skillset.

Mandatory Skills Description:

- Professional experience in software development in international large-scale projects, preferably in the automotive domain

- Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools

- Experience in Python scripting (at least 2 years of experience)

- Proficient Git (GitHub or similar) / Source Control systems (SCM) at the advanced or expert level from console

- Experience in Ansible / Configuration Management (at least 3 years of experience)

- Experience in Docker and knowledge of containerization concepts

- Experience in bash scripting (proficient user)

- Experience in Linux-based OS

- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field

- English language written and spoken

- Problem solving, Critical thinking attitude

- Team spirit

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with Windows OS, cmd, powershell

- Good understanding of a SCRUM framework (recent SCRUM guide)

- Experience with zuul CI (or similar continuous integration platform)

- Experience with JFrog tools (Artifactory, Conan Package Manager)

- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)

- Experience with tools supporting build process (bazel, cmake, pydoit)

- Experience with code quality measurement and visualisation tools (gcov, sonarqube, teamscale)

- Software development (C/C++) knowledge

- Experience in the automotive industry

- Experience with monitoring and reporting tools (ELK, Grafana)

Languages:

English: B2 Upper Intermediate
