Lula Group Web Design EST 2020 is a fast-growing, Shopify-focused web design and development agency based in Liverpool, Sydney. We partner with eCommerce and service-based businesses to build high-performing, conversion-focused websites using Shopify, WordPress, and custom solutions.

Known for our hands-on approach, clean builds, and reliable client communication, we’re entering a strong growth phase with multiple projects already confirmed for the months ahead.

Lula Group operates as a group structure, with specialist arms across web design and recruitment. While this role sits entirely within the web team, being part of the broader group means exposure to a wide range of industries, founders, and growing businesses across Sydney.

About the Role

This is a part-time, hands-on web development role focused on building, customising, and maintaining websites across Shopify, WordPress, and Wix, with a strong emphasis on custom code, third-party app customisation, and technical problem-solving.

You’ll work across end-to-end website builds from theme setup and custom Liquid sections through to app integrations, migrations, and post-launch support. This role suits a developer who enjoys owning builds, working directly with clients, and solving real technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, customise, and maintain Shopify websites using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Develop custom Shopify sections, templates, and functionality
• Customise and extend third-party Shopify apps to suit client requirements
• Configure products, variants, collections, metafields, shipping, taxes, and checkout logic
• Migrate and rebuild websites from WordPress, Wix, or other platforms into Shopify
• Build and maintain WordPress and Wix websites where required
• Troubleshoot performance, UX, and technical issues across eCommerce sites
• Support ongoing website updates, maintenance tasks, and retainer clients
• Join client calls to gather technical requirements and explain solutions
• Collaborate with the Founder on scopes, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Web Developer, Shopify Developer, or eCommerce Developer
• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify development (Liquid is essential)
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
• Experience customising Shopify themes and third-party apps
• Experience building and maintaining WordPress websites
• Experience with Wix or other website builders is advantageous
• Strong understanding of eCommerce functionality and conversion principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
