Senior QA Engineer - Salesforce

Magna is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and collaborative QA Engineer to ensure our software applications are high-quality, functional, and user-friendly prior to release. This role will bridge the gap between technical development and business needs, focusing on Quality Assurance (QA) testing. The role will be responsible for owning, writing, and editing user stories and test scripts to ensure the successful delivery of client projects.

Responsibilities:

• The QA Engineer will analyze and review business requirements and user stories to ensure they are testable and have appropriate coverage within the UAT scope.
• Design and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Execute various types of testing, including functional, system integration, regression, and performance testing, to identify software defects and issues early in the development cycle.
• Using Asana for defect tracking, identify, document, and track software/platform defects (bugs). Collaborate closely with development teams and project leads to ensure their timely resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects to prevent recurrence and improve overall software quality.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Participate in requirement reviews, design meetings, and other project ceremonies.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and emerging tools, bringing new solutions to the team.

Qualifications:

• Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder and Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
• 2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) and/or User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Proven experience in writing clear, detailed, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with defect tracking tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• 3–5 years of development experience across multiple Salesforce platforms, with demonstrated ownership of technical solutions.
• Strong proficiency in platform-specific languages and frameworks including Apex, LWC, AMPscript, SSJS, SOQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce data models, automation tools, and integration patterns.
• Experience working with external systems integrations, APIs, data feeds, CI/CD tools, and web services. Prior experience with POS, PMS, ERP development, including integrations with Salesforce CRM, non-Salesforce CRM, data warehouses, etc.
• Engineer/Developer-level certifications on at least 2 Salesforce platforms, with 1-2 additional advanced/specialty (architect or consultant-level) certifications.
