Job Description
Job Title: Junior Unity Developer (VR/AR)
Job Type: Remote / Hybrid/Onsite (As per your preference and requirement)
Experience: 0–2 Years (Freshers with strong portfolios/Game Jams welcome)
About UsWe are an early-stage startup building cutting-edge Immersive Industrial Training Modules. We combine high-fidelity 3D content, Digital Twins, and interactive simulations to solve real-world challenges for industrial clients. We are looking for builders who want to move beyond standard gaming and apply their skills to the Industrial Metaverse.
The RoleAs a Junior Unity Developer, you will bridge the gap between art and functionality. You will take 3D assets and breathe life into them, creating interactive training scenarios where users can learn, practice, and fail safely in a virtual environment. If you have experience building VR/AR and games, we want you. We believe the mechanics that make games fun (progression, interaction, feedback loops) are exactly what make training effective.
What You Will Do- Develop & Prototype: Write clean, efficient C# code to build interactive functionalities for VR (Quest/Pico) and AR (Mobile/Tablet) applications.
- Mechanics Implementation: Create core interaction systems (e.g., picking up tools, operating machinery, assembling parts) using Unity’s XR Interaction Toolkit.
- Optimization: Ensure applications run smoothly on standalone VR headsets (frame rate optimization, memory management).
- Collaboration: Work closely with 3D Artists to integrate assets, animations, and UI into the engine.
- UI/UX: Implement intuitive user interfaces for non-gamer audiences (industrial workers).
- Bug Fixing: Debug and troubleshoot code to ensure a stable experience.
- Core Skills: Proficient in Unity 3D and C# scripting.
- XR Knowledge: Familiarity with OpenXR, XR Interaction Toolkit, or SDKs like Oculus Integration / ARFoundation.
- Math & Logic: Good understanding of 3D math (Vectors, Quaternions, Raycasting).
- Version Control: Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub for source control.
- Physics: Understanding of Unity Physics (Rigidbodies, Colliders, Joints) – Critical for industrial simulation.
- Experience releasing a game (Mobile/PC/Itch.io) or participating in Game Jams.
- Understanding of "Game Loops," State Machines, and Event Systems.
- Ability to “gamify” boring tasks (e.g., scoring systems, progress bars, audio feedback).
- Experience with Multiplayer/Networking (Photon/Netcode).
- Basic Shader Graph knowledge.
- Experience with Digital Twins or IoT data integration.
- The "Real" Metaverse: Work on projects that solve actual industrial problems, not just entertainment.
- Startup Growth: Opportunity to wear multiple hats and own your code from Day Zero.
- Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere with a team that values output over hours.
- Mentorship: Learn best practices in architecture and optimization from experienced leads.
