You'll get to:

Create dynamic virtual representations of real-world infrastructure

Own every stage of the lifecycle

Define strategy on ML utilisation

Develop and optimise training pipelines

Mentor other engineers

Tools:

Python

PyTorch/TensorFlow/JAX

(Data is sourced from e.g. LiDAR, Vector databases, Imagery, GIS)

Others you feel are suitable; they are tech agnostic

You:

Software Engineering background

Strong experience in Classical ML and Deep Learning

Experience in complex systems environments

MLOps proficiency

Background in areas like Physics/Research/Trading/Robotics a bonus
