Doghouse Recruitment company
My client is one of the Netherlands' biggest commercial media/entertainment companies. They have many products, some running on new world platforms, some on legacy platforms, hosting multiple streaming services, advertisement programs, and weather/news applications. The platforms are highly critical and with millions of users per week, it is fully auto-scalable and must be up 24/7.
In the core infra team, we are looking for an engineer with strong foundations in traditional system engineering, who would like to grow/move towards the new world and work with new technology and traditional tooling. In this role you’ll spend roughly 50% of your time on operations, the other 50% is divided between optimization projects for the environment (for instance the DC consolidation project) and working on migrating legacy applications to the public cloud.
The old-school infra team of the company is providing infrastructure services to the different DevOps/Platform teams throughout the organization. They are in the midst of a multi-year project, migrating most legacy applications to the cloud (Azure and AWS), all whilst keeping the old-school infrastructure up and running off course, as the services need to be available 24/7.
We are looking for an engineer to join the team:
Preferred: experience with Linux, experience with Azure or AWS, experience with Terraform or Ansible.
So, are you an enthusiastic system admin looking for the chance to grow in the new world? And would you like to do that in a team that provides highly available infrastructure for one of the biggest media companies in the Netherlands?
