The opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to drive the delivery of our AI-powered platform and assessment automation initiatives. This dual role, reporting to the COO, combines technical project leadership with agile facilitation, ensuring our engineering teams deliver high-quality products on schedule while maintaining agile best practices. You will work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams across India and the US to ship features that matter to our banking and fintech clients.

Key responsibilities

Technical Project Management

• Own end-to-end delivery of technical projects including AI/ML platform development, API integrations, and assessment automation systems
• Create and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and timelines; track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including backend engineers, frontend developers, AI/ML specialists, and QA
• Manage technical scope, identify risks early, and drive mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories in collaboration with product management
• Drive technical discussions, architecture reviews, and integration planning with engineering leads

Scrum Master & Agile Facilitation

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Coach development teams on agile principles, helping them continuously improve velocity and delivery quality
• Remove impediments and blockers; shield the team from distractions while ensuring stakeholder alignment
• Maintain and groom the product backlog in partnership with product owners; ensure stories are well-defined and estimated
• Track and report sprint metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to drive data-informed improvements
• Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team

Stakeholder communication

• Provide regular status updates to leadership, clearly communicating progress, risks, and resource needs
• Bridge communication between US-based leadership and India-based engineering teams across time zones
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and timelines
• Document processes, decisions, and learnings to build organizational knowledge

Technical Environment

You will be working with teams building on our modern technology stack:

• Cloud: AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS)
• AI/ML: RAG systems, AWS Bedrock Knowledge Bases, LLM integrations
• Backend: Python (FastAPI), Node.js, microservices architecture
• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• DevOps: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Slack

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical project management, software delivery, or engineering management
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach with development teams
• Strong technical background with ability to understand software architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience managing projects involving AI/ML, data pipelines, or complex integrations is highly valued
• Proven track record of delivering software products on time in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively across distributed teams and time zones
• Proficiency with project management and agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Preferred qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe certifications
• PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification
• Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services technology
• Background in compliance-related software (GRC, risk management, security platforms)
• Previous software engineering experience is a strong plus
• Experience working with US-based companies or in Global Capability Center (GCC) environments
