The Pricing Platform is responsible for algorithmic pricing, pricing tooling, and measurement systems. Zalando’s efficient growth relies on our ability to drive key consumer-facing aspects through a platform approach. The prices consumers see and transact against are critical in the customer journey. The majority of prices customers see are algorithmically generated via the pricing platform, and the remaining prices are done using tools the platform designs.
As a Software Engineer in the Pricing Platform, you will be part of a team that ensures Zalando maintains a healthy and competitive price positioning compared to its competitors. You will be working in a team that generates high data volume that drives our competitive pricing algorithms. Your daily responsibilities will include
- Designing and developing systems that provide high volume competitive prices datasets.
- Operating and ensuring the reliability of the systems.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Develop, improve, and maintain products that form the foundation for our reporting solutions for all Zalando systems.
- Take ownership of parts of the user experience and guide engineers to adopt our products.
- Closely collaborate with Product Managers in our team and reach out to stakeholders and business owners to identify potentials to optimize our processes and tools.
- "You build it, you run it" approach experience managing services end-to-end, from developing to deploying to monitoring and incident support.
What We’re Looking For
- Software Engineering - 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer using Python.
- Communication and collaboration share your knowledge, grow from feedback, communicate with empathy, and be a part of a team.
- Experience with Web Data Extraction is a plus.
- Spark knowledge is a plus.
- Interest in Data Engineering is a plus.
