You are a part of thyssenkrupp CERT and provide group-wide support in identifying and investigating IT security incidents.
You support affected business areas in analyzing, evaluating, processing and resolving cyber security incidents and communicate techniques and measures for defense.
Simultaneously, you identify and process IT security incidents across all phases of the incident response process and carry out further analyzes with regard to malware, data traffic, log data and attacker profiles.
You are responsible for answering a wide range of inquiries via the ticket system and hotline as well as evaluating (triage) and processing log events and alarms. In doing so, You will focus on the following areas: Analysis of SIEM alarms, THOR reports or files and e-mails that are provided or reported by employees.
You communicate results and other technical content to non-technical interlocutors and are in regular dialog with contact persons at various levels.
You proactively inform yourself about relevant new technologies and continually adapt your knowledge to technical progress.
Your profile
You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or comparable training with a focus on IT security.
You have several years of professional experience in operational IT security/SOC/CERT as well as knowledge of cyber attack techniques and damage limitation strategies.
You also have in-depth knowledge of networks, IT infrastructures and operating systems (Windows and Linux) as well as established tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Microsoft Defender, MISP and THOR.
You communicate fluently in English (spoken and written) and may even be able to score points with additional industry standard certifications such as: GCIA, GCIH, GCTI, GREM, GRID, GCED.
