Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany or Helsinki, Finland

As the Senior VFX Artist, you will play a crucial role in crafting the visual effects of the game and will be instrumental in leading the way for the future of action games on mobile. Working closely with other artists, you will create stunning VFX assets that will captivate players.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience at a Senior Level creating particle visual effects in game development.
• Experience in creating materials and shaders in a game engine.
• Strong artistic understanding of shape, composition and colour.
• Portfolio examples of your beautiful VFX work that showcases your artistic eye and technical skills.
• Excited to work within a stylised art style.
• Strong proficiency in 3D and 2D content creation tools of your choice.
• Strong technical understanding of game engines and awareness of performance and optimisation.
• A passion for gaming and a strong desire to create memorable experiences for players.
• Experience in creating VFX in Unreal Engine.
• Experience in mobile game development desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality visual effects for mobile games using Unreal Engine 5.
• Create VFX assets from concept to optimised game asset following the artistic vision and the technical and gameplay mechanic requirements.
• Create optimised materials and shaders using Unreal Engine 5.
• Collaborate with the technical artist, other artists, game designers and programmers.
• Collaborate with the technical department to ensure seamless functionality across different devices.
• Plan, execute and maintain a streamlined VFX asset production pipeline.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in VFX and Unreal Engine development to continuously improve the visual effects pipeline.
• Offer and receive feedback and help support professional and open creative communication.
• Brief, guide and review work by outsourced artists.
• Mentor and supervise other artists in your team.
