Job Description
Position: DevOps Engineer
Department: WIARA Cloud & Internal Projects
Engagement: Full-time (8h/day), long-term
Start: January 2026
Role summary:
The DevOps Engineer will work on building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for WIARA’s internal and client projects. They will create and improve CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and ensure reliability, scalability, and security of production environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with developers and contribute to architecture and tooling improvements.
Responsibilities:
✤ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
✤ Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
✤ Maintain and operate AWS environments (Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, etc.)
✤ Automate deployment workflows and improve system reliability
✤ Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and application issues
✤ Ensure security, scalability, and efficiency of cloud environments
✤ Collaborate with backend teams via Slack and Jira
✤ Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
Requirements:
Must-have:
✤ Experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
✤ Strong understanding of AWS services and DevOps principles
✤ Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions
✤ Knowledge of Linux
✤ English level B2+ (good verbal and written communication)
✤ Fluency in Bulgarian language (written & spoken)
Nice-to-have:
✤ Experience with GCP or multi-cloud environments
✤ Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
✤ Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.)
✤ Familiarity with AWS SSM, Secrets Manager, and IAM management
✤ Interest in automation, reliability engineering, and scalable architecture
✤ Bulgarian citizenship is a strong advantage
